THE END OF YEAR GIVE A WAY
Give a way forward for local hardworking families.
Join the Give A Way, Trident United Way’s 80-day, community-wide effort to raise $2 million by December 31, and help more families across Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties build lasting financial stability.
BY THE NUMBERS
37% of Tri-County households live at or below the ALICE Threshold.
Across Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, 129,589 households are struggling to afford basic necessities. Many are ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
ALICE households include our coworkers and neighbors, the people keeping our region running while stretching each paycheck to cover the cost of living here.
For a local family of four, $91,344 a year is needed just to survive with the basics, leaving little room for an unexpected expense or the added costs of the holidays.

why trident united way
One community. Many ways to Give A Way.
One challenge rarely stays one challenge. A car repair can lead to a missed shift. A smaller paycheck can put rent at risk.
Through Family Coaching, Trident United Way helps families work on the full picture, not one challenge at a time.
Whether through a workplace campaign, a corporate gift or an individual donation, every contribution to the End of Year Give A Way helps make that support available to more local families.
The name is purposeful. This is about more than giving something away. It is about giving a way forward.
When families build stability, our entire community grows stronger.
