About Women United Flex Fund
The fund offers short-term assistance (up to $1,000) to female-headed households. Funds are used for time-sensitive expenses that directly prevent a destabilizing event (eviction, job loss, childcare interruption, utility shutoff, etc.) — ensuring that ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families can stay on track toward their goals in employment, education and long-term financial stability. Assistance is paired with coaching to stabilize a moment of crisis while strengthening long-term financial resilience. The goal is not to replace income, but to prevent setbacks that derail progress toward stability.
